THE MOST HIDDEN GEM IN TENERIFE

The nature of Tenerife amazes us when we begin to pass the rugged cliffs of the coast on our way up to the islands central and lush greenery. We start the day with a visit to a holy territory for Christianity, Santiago del Teide. Here we visit, for those who want, the city’s 17th-century church, San Fernando Rey. The contrast between the outside’s cold white walls and black stones, and the colorful interior with pictures, paintings and sculptures will amaze you, so the camera is an absolute must. Here we will also show you to the famous bronze monument, “el guanche valiente” Alonso Diaz. (the brave guanche) His nickname and the story of his 200 stolen goats and how he got them back your guide will tell you about on this glorious day, so listen carefully. The bus takes us further through the beautiful mountain road into a deep valley, something no camera can give a fair picture of. From here, the picturesque village of Masca suddenly appears, like a brick-covered eagle’s nest. The village that was completely hidden from the rest of the island until 1927 when they got their first telephone. Here we first and foremost enjoy our alone time among silence and nature. For all of you culturally inclined, you can take the opportunity to visit their museum and church or just stroll around among cafés and souvenir shops. During the day we will stop at an authentic canarian restaurant where you can enjoy some typical local dishes and something nice to drink if you wish (Not included).
